new blog link!

Everyone is commanded (uh, nicely) to check out mmr's new blog, penguins and people, a documentary of her New Zealand and Australia travel going on this very moment. so, while you're sitting here reading about mmr's blog, you could be reading her blog. So Act now, don't delay! Operators are waiting!

I've taken the liberty of adding it to my Sphere O' Blog links, too.

Then, you, too, will know what Flat Lily is all about. (No, I'm not linking it. That would be cheating. You have to go to mmr's blog to find out more).

So, homework? Go click on the link to mmr's new blog!

P.S. Loz: You'll have to let mmr know where and what is not to be missed in Sydney!

Ah, Sydney, the Emerald City, for yea, Australians are fond of bad puns. Fun can be had wandering around Circular Quay, especially if you like beautiful bridges (bridgeclimb.com.au), fancy opera houses, and of course really expensive drinks. THEN catch a ferry from said quay out to Parramatta aka The Real Sydney to get a cheap harbour/river cruise and an idea of just how much riverside property development Sydneysiders can get on with. You can ferry or train back into town.

You can also catch a ferry to Taronga Zoo from the quay. Haven't been for years, but it's lovely.

What else? In town, Darling Harbour is a nice way to while away a morning or so, especially if you go to the aquarium and especially if coupled with a visit to Chinatown which is right next to it and way better than London's teensy Chinatown. Also: yum cha, which is like dim sum, but with the food on trolleys. Bliss.

Near Chinatown is Paddy's markets if you are in the mood for knockoff merchandise; for counterculture head up Oxford Street.

And I can't think of anything else right now but I assure you there is plenty to do!
